In New Caledonia we Kayak on the sea. On the waters of Nouméa’s bays or, for a bit more exercise, on the east coast, along the Forgotten Coast. This section of the archipelago retains an authenticity like nowhere else. No route, no marked path, just wild and unspoiled nature to be discovered after the lagoon.

Challenging kayaking

An expedition along the Forgotten Coast is not a matter of a few hours. It should be discovered over the course of three to four days. But be careful - this adventure requires a certain level of physical fitness so you don’t end up struggling by the end of the first day! We also recommend taking a refresher course with a local service provider to ensure you have good control over the sea kayak.

    Modern day Robinson Crusoe

If you're going to leave civilisation for three to four days, you’ll also have to learn or re-learn to enjoy the basics. The group of sea-kayaking Robinsons can’t help but admire the corners of paradise that very few people have had the privilege of visiting. The Ouinne or Kouakoué bays are the most striking examples of this. And that’s without mentioning swimming in the Ocean among wildlife as colourful as it is curious to meet new visitors. All that remains afterwards is to come back, head filled with memories, to the modern world and its effervescence.
