Bush tables d’hôte

This network offers you a special atmosphere. Be welcomed home by farmers already known in New Caledonia for the tables they set. The principle is simple: offer a typical bush cuisine with farm products and local expertise – bougna, venison stew, and homemade jam.
Bush simplicity

There’s no fuss in the bush, but you’ll still be treated like royalty. A stay in a farm, or a property as they’re called here, is the perfect opportunity to taste a lifestyle that’s only found in New Caledonia. The bushmen have adopted their code of conduct from American ranchers, including the Stetsons on their heads! It’s only natural that we’d also call them stockmen, and every one is attached to the simple life.

If you dream of bringing the cattle home, it happens in Bourail on the property of Cindy Baronnet. There you’ll discover Caledonian livestock, barbecued over a wood fire under the light of the moon, all 100% authentic. At 1:30 in the morning, Noumea time, the Nemeara farm overs a complete change of scenery.
Bush delicacies

Honey with original flavors and no coloring or preservatives, tasty organic poultry, local chili, fresh eggs, even juicy oranges…A stay in one of the network’s operations is more than just enjoying a generous table and all the comforts of home, you’ll also take a bit of Caledonia home with you. When you leave, most will offer you venison sausages, jams, or sweets to prolong your stay.
Bush hunt

The Boutana Paddock in Pouembout stands out in the ‘Welcome to the Farm’ network by offering experienced, permit-holding guests the opportunity to hunt on the property. Deer, wild pigs and even turkeys run free. Hunting is widely practiced in New Caledonia but rarely the target of tourism. This is what sets the property of Bernard and Marie-Claude Gauzere apart. The more than 600-hectare operation also offers a set menu and guest room.
